Centering gender Affirming Resources through Education
CARE's training is for any provider that interfaces with college students at a campus counseling or health center. We are seeking to increase the resources available to college health and counseling centers to support trans and gender diverse students and connect them with supports related to alcohol involved sexual violence.
This training focuses on trans and gender diverse students as they are disproportionately impacted by hazardous drinking and sexual violence, and they are often left out of conversations about sexual violence on college campuses.
By the end of this training, learners will:
- Increase their understanding of trans and gender diverse patients and their healthcare needs
- Reflect and improve their self-efficacy in providing responsive care to trans and gender diverse students
-
Build knowledge of sexual violence and substance use in trans and gender diverse student communities
